Kyokushin Karate was developed by Mas Oyama. The instructors at Gray Wolf Martial Arts are close to the root of the Kyoukushin Tree. Sensei Karl Biedlingmaier's (4th Dan) Instructor is Shihan Michael Monaco (8th Dan). Shihan Monaco is directly under Hanshi Steve Arniel (10th Dan). Hanshi Steve Arniel was a student and adopted son of Mas Oyama. The lineage to the master is very short.
